ABCD has been an active supporter of the Sustrans Cyclepath network in Argyll. Specifically the Route 78 which will eventually run from Campbeltown to Inverness. This off road route is a multiuser path which encourages walkers, cyclists, pram pushers, children on scooters and indeed any non motorised forms of transport.
It is therefore a safe and practical development for communities to promote physical activity and well being. In Argyll, we in ABCD have been keen to support the routes development and have placed several benches at strategic intervals along the path in the hope that this will encourage ever more users, including those with limited mobility.
Evidence to date shows that the route is being well used by a very wide range of different users.
ABCD benches have been placed between Ganavan and Dunbeg, Benderloch, Loch Creran, Inverfoila and overlooking Castle Stalker. All are at sites of great natural beauty and are notable viewpoints.
